Indian Head Massage

Many therapists offer Indian Head Massage as a fully clothed seated treatment that focuses on your shoulders, neck, face and scalp and does not require the use of oil.

This is not the way I was trained to give an Indian Head treatment.  The treatment I offer is performed seated either at the side of a couch or on a massage chair. It is not a fully clothed treatment and you will be expected to remove your clothes to your waist and have a towel wrapped around your body. As you sit for the treatment your back will be exposed and we normallyuse coconut oil unless you have a preference.

The areas that are massaged are your upper back and shoulders, arms, neck, head and face. This massage gives an intense back massage and not only releases tension from your aching back and neck it stimulates and improves scalp circulation improving the strength and growth of your hair. It gives relief from eye problems, hearing loss, tinnitus, sinusitis, hair loss, neck and shoulder pain. It helps in the relief of eye strain and tension headaches.  It re-balances energy flow and helps to relax facial tension, increasing circulation and reducing dryness and pre-mature ageing. It's excellent for disturbed sleep and insomnia, it improves concentration helping to eliminate mental tiredness.

Most clients find this treatment so relaxing that they fall asleep.
